Singapore residents can enjoy up to S$3 cashback on Saturday purchases at participating hawker stalls, coffee shops, wet markets and neighbourhood shops through DBS PayLah!.
The promotion runs from 29 August to 19 December 2026, covering 17 Saturdays. Each week, the first 160,000 eligible users who make a qualifying payment from 6am can receive 100% cashback, capped at S$3.
The campaign is part of DBS/POSB’s S$10 million support initiative aimed at helping consumers manage everyday expenses. It returns for a fourth year, with approximately 2.7 million cashback rewards available across the promotion period.
However, there are several important conditions. Not every shop accepting PayLah! qualifies, and the reward is credited after payment rather than deducted from the bill immediately.
How Much Cashback Can You Actually Receive?
The promotion offers a full refund on your first qualifying purchase each Saturday, up to S$3. There is no minimum spending requirement.
| Purchase Amount | Cashback | Final Cost |
|---|---|---|
| S$1.50 | S$1.50 | S$0 |
| S$3.00 | S$3.00 | S$0 |
| S$5.00 | S$3.00 | S$2.00 |
Important: Only your first eligible purchase counts. If you buy a S$1.50 drink first, you receive just S$1.50 cashback. A subsequent S$5 meal will not qualify for the remaining S$1.50.
To maximise the reward, make your first qualifying transaction at least S$3.
Where Can You Use The Cashback?
The promotion extends beyond hawker centres to selected coffee shops, wet markets, neighbourhood retailers and industrial canteens.
However, simply accepting PayLah! does not make a merchant eligible.
For hawker stalls, look for an SGQR code displaying the PayLah! logo or a PayLah! sticker. Participating neighbourhood shops may display promotional POSB signage.
Businesses in commercial shopping malls, including Bugis Junction, Great World City and Tanglin Mall, are excluded. Other exclusions include pharmacies, medical clinics, petrol stations, schools and tuition centres.
DBS maintains an official participating merchant directory, which may be updated throughout the campaign. Readers can check the official DBS Saturday Savings website to verify individual stalls.
How To Claim Your S$3 Cashback
- Open the PayLah! app on Saturday after 6am. Check the campaign banner to ensure the rewards have not been fully redeemed.
- Visit a participating merchant and locate its eligible QR payment code.
- Use PayLah! to scan and pay. Make sure you are paying the merchant directly using an eligible payment route rather than making a personal transfer.
- Check your PayLah! transaction history. Successful cashback is normally credited to your PayLah! account on the same day.
Once all 160,000 rewards have been claimed, the app’s campaign banner will display “FULLY REDEEMED”.
Customers should also note that certain third-party QR payment routes and payments made using DBS Rewards Flexi eVouchers are excluded.
Do You Need A DBS Or POSB Bank Account?
No. Existing PayLah! users can participate even without a DBS or POSB bank account.
Singaporeans and permanent residents without a DBS/POSB deposit account can register through Singpass. Existing DBS/POSB account holders can register through digibank.
How Much Can You Save Before The Promotion Ends?
A user who successfully claims S$3 every Saturday across the entire 17-week campaign can collect up to S$51.
As at 21 September, 13 promotional Saturdays remain, beginning on 26 September. That represents a further potential saving of S$39 per person, subject to availability and qualifying transactions.
The bank has increased the total allocation of rewards by approximately 40% compared with last year.
According to DBS, participating merchants recorded a 50% increase in their Saturday earnings from PayLah! transactions during the 2025 campaign. Among customers who redeemed rewards that year, 36% were senior citizens, people earning less than S$2,500 monthly, or both.
These figures indicate the campaign’s reach, although the increase in PayLah! earnings does not necessarily represent an equivalent increase in merchants’ overall sales.
For consumers hoping to secure the cashback, the key is to check the merchant directory beforehand, verify that rewards remain available and use the first qualifying purchase wisely.
