At the JB checkpoint bus stop, one SBS Transit traffic inspector kena record shouting at an elderly uncle who tried to cut queue, and now the staff is going to face disciplinary action.
Video posted on The SG Daily show the uncle pointing at the inspector, then the SBS staff suddenly raise voice and even shout one expletive while gesturing at him. The inspector keep telling him go back, but one commuter on the bus ended up pulling the uncle onboard.
Witness say the uncle claimed he was sick and needed to board first, but later started arguing and even threatened to hit people. They say his voice loud and aggressive, and that the uncle also cut queue again at the Singapore side until they took photo and say call police then he run off.
SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu say the inspector was just preventing queue cutting to keep boarding safe and orderly. But she also admit the staff should have handled the situation more calmly and professionally. Disciplinary action is to prevent similar drama next time.

Online reactions quite mixed. Some say the staff too rough and shouldnβt shout at an elderly. Others say the uncle behave difficult and the staff just reach breaking point. A few neutral ones say video never show full story, so cannot judge easily.
