After Singapore make history on Nov 18 with 2-1 win in Hong Kong – first time qualify for Asian Cup on merit sia – Mr Neo went to changing room to talk to the players.
Shiok sendiri until he say: “You all kena pressured by them, all the fans were bloody idiots, end up players… they also played like idiots, but you all played like lions.”
Wah, the video spread everywhere lah! People all say how can minister say like that? Very not diplomatic leh!
So now Hong Kong Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau confirm already – Mr Neo send email to their sports official Rosanna Law say sorry. Ms Law also say this small matter won’t affect Singapore and Hong Kong long-standing sports and cultural relationship one.
Mr Neo himself also reply to Instagram comment, admit his words “totally out of order” and he “should have been more respectful”. At least he acknowledge his mistake lah.
But walao eh, as minister somemore, how can anyhow say people idiot like that? Even though our team win shiok shiok, also must give face to other country what. Now everyone know about it already, paiseh max!
