Sixteen people riding the Battlestar Galactica coaster at Universal Studios Singapore kena stuck halfway when the ride stalled around 5pm on November 28. RWS said it was a temporary technical interruption, and the system auto-stopped at a safe point.
Ops team quickly went up, harnessed up, and guided all 16 riders down the track. No injuries reported.
Some videos on Instagram showed the riders waiting in the rain, plus staff helping them down. Ride will reopen on November 29 after a full safety check.
RWS say safety always number one and apologise for the inconvenience. SCDF confirmed they weren’t alerted. This not the first time the ride got issues though, with past stoppages in 2015 and 2016.
