Man seen holding 2 knives & wandered outside swimming pool at Kallang, police investigating

A man was seen allegedly holding two knives outside a swimming pool in Kallang on Dec 6, with police now investigating the incident.

According to TikTok user @heyhihello00001, the incident occurred at around 9:20pm at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. In the 10-second clip, the man, dressed in dark clothing, was seen standing at the shutters near the swimming pool gantries.

He appeared to be wielding a shiny blade in his right hand while swinging it. According to the user, the man was later seen heading to the taxi stand at OCBC Aquatic Centre.

He reportedly wore a black shirt, black trousers, and black sneakers, along with a gold chain around his neck and black spectacles.

In response to Mothership’s queries, the Singapore Police Force said that a report has been lodged and that investigations are ongoing. A spokesperson for The Kallang Group confirmed that they are aware of the case and are assisting police with the investigation.

This is quite alarming sia – someone walking around with knives near a public swimming facility. Fortunately, it seems no one was hurt in the incident. Hopefully the police can track down this person quickly and find out what was going on. Public safety is important, especially in recreational areas where families and children are present.
