Hong Kong Influencer Rachel Zhong Opens Up About Life as Mistress to 66-Year-Old Bank Chairman
Rachel Zhong, also known as Ng Sok, has captured public attention after her relationship with Patrick Ma Ching Hang, the 66-year-old chairman of Tai Sang Bank, became public. The two were photographed by paparazzi sharing a kiss at a restaurant, which prompted Ng Sok to openly admit her role as Ma’s mistress.
A Journey from Poverty to Wealth
Ng Sok, 33, grew up in humble circumstances and resolved early in life to pursue wealth. She reportedly only dated men with net worths exceeding 100 million. At 18, she married into a wealthy family but faced rejection from her husband’s relatives, who eventually cut her off. She left the marriage, taking their only child with her.
Ng Sok later met Patrick Ma at a high-society event, and the two began a relationship that has lasted nine years. Despite Ma being married, Ng Sok has embraced her role as his mistress, and the couple now shares four children.

Flaunting a Lavish Lifestyle
Ng Sok is no stranger to showcasing her extravagant life on social media. She owns a luxurious house on MacDonnell Road, gifted by Ma, valued at approximately HK$90 million (S$15.8 million). Her indulgences include a reported HK$2 million (S$351,000) European vacation, ownership of over 300 luxury cars, and a lifestyle supported by 60 domestic helpers and 60 dogs.
Traveling frequently by helicopter, Ng Sok admits that her extensive car collection sees little use. On the day her affair with Ma was revealed, she reportedly spent a staggering sum on luxury goods in just 30 minutes, purchasing high-end handbags, leather shoes, jewelry, makeup, and perfume.
Rise to Fame with Professional Help
Ng Sok’s public persona has been carefully curated with the help of Joseph Lam Chok, a Hong Kong lawyer-turned-influencer who was paid S$17,500 to create her stage name. Additionally, Ng Sok hired Lam and Hong Kong-based Japanese singer Hiromi Wada to help her achieve fame. Aspiring to be a singer, she sought to escape the monotony of her privileged life as a “tai tai” (wealthy housewife).
Defending Her Choices
In a live stream, Ng Sok previously referred to her “rich boyfriend” without revealing his identity. When her relationship with Ma became public, she was unapologetic about her choices, stating: “The mistress has more money than the wife. Money is more important than marriage!”
When asked about her love for wealth, she simply replied, “Who doesn’t love money?” While the public disclosure of her relationship caught her off guard, she has since announced on Instagram that she will not be accepting interviews.
Ng Sok’s story has sparked heated debates about wealth, relationships, and societal values, with reactions ranging from admiration for her honesty to criticism of her lifestyle and choices.
