Ex-Tanjong Pagar United youth footballer convicted over punch that left opponent unconscious

Wah youth football match turn drama sia. Ex Tanjong Pagar United Under-21 player Rizqin Aniq kena convicted after he punched two Albirex Niigata players, one somemore faint on the spot.

Happened on Feb 10 during an Under-21 league game. Tensions build up the whole match, then after final whistle, handshake become punch. First player kena a hit to the face, then chaos, people pulling him away.

But he broke free and ran back to whack another Albirex player, Kenji Ho, who blackout and woke up confused. Later diagnosed with concussion and mild PTSD. Serious one.

Club terminated his contract two days later. FAS banned him 30 months and fined $2,000. Court now waiting probation report. If convicted of assault, can kena jail up to 3 years and fine up to $5,000 per charge.

Sports is passion, but cannot lose cool until like that lah.
