BCA: Sin Ming monastery allowed to partially reopen following inspection

Roof collapse case at Sin Ming monastery got update. Six days after part of the roof at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery suddenly give way, BCA finish initial checks already.

They say the main roof structure at Venerable Hong Choon Memorial Hall still structurally sound, no signs of stress. Debris and dangling pieces all cleared. So now Abbot’s Hall and Levels 1, 2, 3 can reopen. Level 4 still must close, need more checks and rectification works.

BCA say still doing deep investigations and if got any breach of duties, action will be taken. Also remind all building owners, roofs and exterior features must maintain properly, don’t wait for things to drop then panic.
